Hannspree intros dual-core Tegra tablet with Android

Hannspree in Europe has sent out a press release that it will soon release a 10.1-inch multi-touch tablet preloaded with Android 2.2. It will be powered by NVIDIA's Tegra 250 platform to drive the 1024x600 display, while a mini HDMI output will let users view 1080p videos on external screens that support the resolution. General processing is handled by the Tegra's dual-core 1GHz Cortex A9 chip.
The remainder of the specs compare favorably with other tablets, as an accelerometer and light sensor are built in. There is 16GB of storage, a microSD memory card slot, Bluetooth 2.1, Wi-Fi and a mini USB connection. A microphone, speakers and headset jack are likewise present. The only thing that could be missed is a 3G connection.

The 3,500mAh battery is said to last eight hours even when playing back 1080p videos, though this has yet to be sted. The unnamed tablet weighs 1.7lbs.

Hannspree is said to release the tablet in Germany and likely other markets this November, priced at the equivalent of $500.
